Backyard Playground
The people of John Calvin Presbyterian Church have a vision to create a Backyard Sanctuary in the open space behind the present education building. Elements of this plan include a community garden, an accessible playground, a worship space with a labyrinth, and a fellowship area for picnics and outdoor gatherings. The community garden has already been installed. Our next step is purchase and installation of the playground.

In Matthew 19:14, Jesus says, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.” In these tender words, we hear our Savior’s love for children and his gentle invitation to make room for them in the life of faith, hope, and community.
To make this vision a reality, we are launching a 5-Year Capital Campaign.
We invite you to prayerfully consider how God may be calling you to support this mission. Through this effort, we hope to create a beautiful, safe playground where children can laugh, grow, and experience the joy of community.
